For months, Dodge teased the world with flashes and hints about the new Dodge Demon. The car was officially unveiled in April and did not disappoint. The car burst from its cage and filled the air with smoke from its intense burnout.
Now that we know the full details for this heart-pounding car, it is officially the fastest production car in the world. The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), set an all-time dragstrip record by reaching the end of the quarter mile in just 9.65 seconds at a speed of 140 mph.

Powering this intense speed is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that delivers anywhere from 808 to 840 horsepower, depending on how the Demon is outfitted. This is enough power to achieve 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about the Demon is that it is entirely street legal. While one option saves only the driver seat (for the fastest model), it can come with a passenger seat and backseat so you can take along friends and family for a thrilling ride.
The Demon was also certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the only production car capable of performing a wheelie.
While we don’t have the Dodge Demon at Linwood Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram, we do have the Challenger, which was the original inspiration for the Demon. Come check it out today.
