The city of Paducah provides plenty of family-friendly fun and games with their annual LIVE on the RIVER Sounds of Summer Series. One night has already passed us by—its first date was June 3rd—but the second will fall right on July 4th. Come celebrate Independence Day with the city of Paducah, lasting from 4pm until 10 that night with everything from activities and games for children to good ol’-fashioned fireworks.

Festivities begin as early as 1pm, with food truck vendors showing up to the event’s location and Broadway Street, Market Square, and 2nd Street all closed for the celebration. However, the real fun doesn’t begin until 4pm, with live music and entertainment playing all over the downtown streets alongside family- and kid-friendly activities that’s sure to be fun for everyone. The National Anthem will begin at 9:15pm, heralding the oncoming fireworks show, which lasts until 10 and the end of the event.
Celebrate Independence Day with the community on the riverfront; it’s sure to be a blast. After the July 4th celebration, there’s only one more date for the 2017 LIVE on the RIVER Sounds of Summer Series on August 5th, which will feature a Big Brown Truck Pull along with music and family fun.
